Rezolution Privacy Policy
Effective 1 July 2026 · Last updated 1 July 2026
Rezolution (“the app”) is a macOS menu-bar utility published by Matter ApS (“we”, “us”, “our”), a company registered in Denmark.
The short version: Rezolution runs entirely on your Mac, works offline, and Matter ApS operates no servers and collects no data whatsoever.
1. We operate no servers and collect no data
Matter ApS does not run any backend service for Rezolution. There is no analytics, no telemetry, no advertising, and no tracking of any kind. The app requires no network access and makes no network requests. We do not sell or share data, because we never receive it.
2. What the app reads
To switch resolutions, Rezolution reads the list of display modes your monitor supports using standard macOS system APIs (CoreGraphics). This information is used only on your device to populate the menu and switch resolutions. It is never transmitted anywhere.
3. Your preferences
Your settings — quick-switch slot labels, chosen resolutions, and general options such as launch at login — are stored locally on your Mac via UserDefaults inside the app’s sandboxed container. This data never leaves your device.
4. No third parties
Rezolution uses no third-party services, SDKs, or analytics. Nothing about your usage is shared with anyone.
5. Data retention and deletion
All Rezolution data lives on your Mac. We retain nothing because we receive nothing. To delete all app data, delete the app and its sandbox container.
6. Children
Rezolution is not directed at children under 13 and we do not knowingly handle data from them.
7. Changes to this policy
We may update this policy. Material changes will be reflected by updating the “Last updated” date above and posting the revised policy at https://matteraps.com/rezolution/privacy.
