Matter Apps builds software that respects your privacy by design. This policy covers all apps published by Matter Apps on the Apple App Store and Mac App Store.
We follow a simple principle: collect nothing unless absolutely necessary for the app to function. Most of our apps work entirely on your device with no data leaving your computer or phone.
Ghostmail connects directly to your email server via IMAP and SMTP. Your email credentials are encrypted locally using AES-256-GCM and stored only on your device. We never see, store, or transmit your credentials or email content. No analytics, no tracking, no server-side components.
Rezolution operates entirely offline. It reads your display's supported resolutions using macOS system APIs and stores your preferences locally via UserDefaults. No data is collected, transmitted, or stored externally. The app requires no network access.
The Sudoku app uses anonymous identifiers to enable social features such as leaderboards and friend challenges. We collect:
We do not collect your name, email address, location, or any information that identifies you personally. Game data is stored in Supabase (hosted on AWS) and can be deleted upon request.
Ghostmail and Rezolution use no third-party services. The Sudoku app uses Supabase for backend services (database and authentication). No data is shared with advertisers or data brokers. We do not display ads in any of our apps.
For Ghostmail and Rezolution, all data lives on your device and is removed when you uninstall the app. For the Sudoku app, account data is retained until you request deletion or delete your account within the app.
Our apps do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. The Sudoku app's anonymous auth system does not require any personal information.
We may update this policy from time to time. Significant changes will be noted in app update release notes.
